Based on the requirements and characteristics of multi-zone autonomous decision-mgaking in modern power system, fully distributed computing methods are need to optimize the economic dispatch(ED)problem coordination of multiregional power system on the basis of constructing decomposition and interaction mechanism. In this paper, four fully distributed methods based on alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)were used for solving the ED problem in distributed manner.By duplicating variables, the 2-block classical ADMM can be directly used to solve ED problem fully distributed. In the ED model, due to the existence of the coupling constraint, the two-block ADMM is used to solve the dual problem of ED(D_ADMM),which makes the model decouple completely according to the unit to realize the full distributed calculation, and get better parallel performance.Because the ED model is a multi-block convex minimization problem with linear constraint,we can consider the direct use of multi-block ADMM method. This paper uses alternating direction method with Gaussian back substitution(ADM G)guarantee that the multi-block ADMM algorithm under the problem converges to achieve the ED fully distributed serial computation. As the above algorithm can’t achieve parallel computing,in this paper, through the use of exchange ADMM(Exchange ADMM,E ADMM),to ensure that the algorithm convergence and achieve ED problem completely distributed parallel computing at the same time.In this paper, four distributed methods solve the ED problem in distributed collaborative manner, compared to centralized algorithm, these distributed algorithms have better security and scalability. And we also discussed the difference of four algorithms from the aspects of algorithm convergence, calculation speed and parameter change. Some simulation results are reported to test the performance of these distributed algorithms in serial and parallel.
