Carbon mudstone is mainly distributed in the western provinces of China,subgrade filling material is more difficult to find,because as of subgrade filling material carbon mudstone has the characteristics of rapid disintegration in water,protect the environment,save the cost,need to do waterproof carbargilite and further modified before use.Carbonaceous mudstone belongs to the soft mudstone.When the carbon mudstone is destroyed,the water content increases and often exceeds the liquid limit,and the strength of the rock sample will completely disappear.It is a very unstable swelling soft rock.Through the compaction test of the bearing ratio CBR value and the relationship between the degree of compaction,the triaxial shear test of shear strength of soil,the soil is to find out the causes of damage to understand the porosity and degree of compaction of carbonaceous mudstone extent.Particle size analysis of carbonaceous mudstone samples was carried out at the site of Hechi to six stockade highway to find out the fractal dimension of the disintegration of carbonaceous mudstone.Because of the limitation of the theoretical calculation method and the settlement deformation of embankment,there are many influencing factors.Therefore,in the field of highway embankment carbargilite embedded monitoring tool for long-term observation of the settlement of the embankment,embankment settlement prediction,grasp the factors that influence the settlement of embankment during construction,to take effective measures to improve the embankment construction technology,strengthening subgrade compaction,setting the subgrade drainage measures,reduce roadbed settlement.The main conclusions are as follows:1)The ratio of carbon bearing mudstone to CBR is proportional to the degree of compaction,and the expansion rate is inversely proportional to the degree of compaction.The Carbon Mudstone conforms to the standard requirements of subgrade filling and can be used as a filler in some work areas,but it has obvious limitations.2)When using the carbon mudstone as the embankment filling of the expressway,it should be fully compacted,improve the degree of compaction,enhance the stability,and take corresponding waterproof measures to prevent the infiltration of surface water.3)The key to the success or failure of Carbon Mudstone used for embankment filling is that the carbonaceous mudstone must be completely disintegrated.Secondly,it should be compacted so as to reduce the deformation of the embankment caused by disintegration and wetting of the carbonaceous mudstone.4)The deformation of embankment is affected by the angle of internal friction,and the full decomposition of carbonaceous mudstone can reduce the large gap of embankment.In addition,it is necessary to strengthen the drainage and avoid the settlement of embankment due to the influence of rain.5)Carbonaceous mudstone subgrade should be fully compacted,compaction degree is not less than 93%,no filler filling thickness greater than 30 cm,crushed coarse filler to reduce wet deformation,using wet filling,ensure the water content reached 10%-12%.Adopt vibratory roller,roll 5-6 times.
