The mooring positioning method is often used in offshore engineering installation.The large motion response of mooring ship will affect construction progress and safety.Study of motion response of mooring ship in marine engineering construction has great significance in engineering application.The T-shape barge is often used in floatover installation of large offshore platform.Because the T-shape barge form has particularity,its hydrodynamic regularities deserve to study.Otherwise,there is a complicated swell in the East China Sea.Research on swell influence acting on mooring ship motion response during construction is also of great significance in theory.Field measurement and numerical simulation are used to study mooring motion response of two kinds of engineering ships,which can accurately forecast the motion response and provide technical support during construction.This paper has carried out the following research work:(1)For the field measurement of ship motion response,GPS/INS and RTK are used to achieve cm-level position accuracy and 0.05 ° angle accuracy.Field measurement studies the motion response of mooring T-shape barge and large crane.(2)Different algorithms,Newman approximation and full QTF method,are used to forecast the second-order wave force acting on mooring motion.For KL3-2 floatovr installation case,combined with the wave spectrum obtained from field wave monitoring data analysis results,numerical simulation is used to study mooring motion response and compared with measured results.(3)Based on field measured wave results,East China Sea swell characteristics are studied.For large crane without cargo case,motion response is forecasted by numerical simulation and compared with field measured results to study the long period swell effect mechanism and characteristics acting on ship motion.The study results have great guidance value on actual construction.The study of long period swell influence acting on ship motion is rare in the domestic and has great significance in theory,which can lay the technology foundation of applicability study for engineering ship construction work in East China Sea.
