With the continued growth of road traffic,the road traffic accident rate increased significantly,the traffic accident caused by fog and other inclement weather is also increasing year by year,seriously affect the development of road traffic safety in our country.In foggy days,the visibility of drivers decreases obviously,the friction coefficient between vehicles and roads decreases greatly,the driving pressure of drivers increases,and the drivers may panic and take improper measures to cause serious traffic accidents.According to statistics,the traffic accidents in foggy weather in China are 2-5 times as much as those in normal weather and the traffic accidents in fog often cause collision of multiple vehicles and the serious injury and death of drivers.According to the influence of different fog visibility on driver's psychological physiology,speed and Car Following,this paper is based on the natural science foundation of Shandong province " Mechanism and dynamic simulation of vehicle road cooperative safety under foggy conditions",analysing research status at home and abroad,to simulate the psychological and physiological changes of drivers under different weather conditions,and to analyze the driving characteristics of drivers.On this basis,the variation of car following speed and car following distance in fog is studied,and the safety evaluation is carried out.The research contents are as follows:The first part is the construction of simulation system and the set of variable parameters.First of all,set up the experimental scenarios through simulation software UC-win/Road simulation system,including highway,street,environment and so on;Secondly,according to the quantitative relationship between droplet density,water content and visibility,the Fog Visibility set was carried out,and the physiological parameters in the experiment were introduced.The second part is the research on the behavior of vehicle driving without others in foggy weather.Based on the simulation system,different driving speed was set under different visibility in fog,and the data were collected by simulation experiment.This experiment inputs driving behavior signal by driving simulator,and output vehicle characteristics and physiological indexes through the UC-win/Road simulation system and BIOLAB driver's psychological behavior synchronous recording system,to study the dynamic response of driver's heart rate,basic data and speed when visibility changes in foggy weather.The third part is the study of car following characteristics in foggy weather.When visibility is reduced to less than 300 meters,the influence of external environment on driver is obvious,this part focuses on the impact of low visibility in fog following traffic,which is Under the visibility of 300 meters.The car following simulation is carried out by UC-win/Road simulation system,and the vehicle following speed and car following distance data are exported.Finally,according to the relevant regulations of fog in the country,the safety driving speed is calculated by using two models of AASHTO and NCHRP,and the speed limit value of fog is corrected.
