As one of the key parts of the automobile,the automobile hub bearing unit is mainly used to carry the corresponding weight and to provide accurate guidance for the steering of the car hub.The clearance of the hub bearing unit directly affects the life and safety of the product,and is an important index to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the hub bearing.At present,the domestic hub bearing is widely used clearance technique restricts the bearing life,based on the third generation automobile hub bearing unit of intelligent assembly line project,on the car third generation hub bearing unit negative clearance detection device design of automobile technology,third generation hub bearing clearance,the clearance,sleeve technology and riveting process control of bearing the value of the implementation of the negative clearance of bearing.The research direction and technical direction are determined according to the technical characteristics of vehicle third generation hub bearing clearance testing,and the specific research contents are as follows:(1)through the basic theory of hub bearing negative clearance,the negative clearance formula of deep groove ball bearing is analyzed,and the influence of riveting technology and matching sleeve technology on the negative clearance of hub bearing is analyzed,and a mathematical model for calculating the negative clearance of hub bearing is obtained.(2)design the third generation wheel hub bearing clearance detection device,divide the whole mechanical structure into modules,divide the detector into feeding device and positioning measuring device,then design the modules in detail according to the module design method.After the mechanical design,the components and software design of the control system for the axial clearance of the hub bearing are described in detail,and the components and their application in the system are described in detail.The design of the electrical control schematic diagram and the design of the PLC circuit and part of the program are emphatically expounded.(3)the test verification and fatigue test of the wheel bearing testing system are carried out.Through tests of 10 wheel bearing bearings with different clearance values,the working performance of the axial clearance detection device of hub bearings is analyzed,and at the same time,it is verified that the operation of the hub bearings is smooth,no interference with each other,and the running rhythm meets the work requirements.(4)based on the Chrysler test requirement standard,the durability fatigue tests of the 12 wheel hub bearings are carried out,and the relationship between hub clearance and life is analyzed,and the best clearance of hub bearings is obtained at the negative clearance,usually at-0.03~0mm.
