The popularity of the car has also caused more and more frequent traffic accident s,through the analysis of all the causes of accidents,not good at driving,fatigue driv ing,visual blind area are the key reasons.To a certain degree to solve this problem,and reduce the accident rate,this paper completes a dual-mode displaying car-reversing anti-collision system,which uses the height of the bar images to show the real-time distance between the obstacles and car rear,for reminding drivers to avoid obstacles.The system uses dual mode to display the distance image.One mode is the PC display,it is used to make it convenient to connect the vehicle intelligent terminal sys tem in practical application,save and send the data,especially to make it to have stro nger extension ability in the developing of car networking.The other mode is the VG A display.As the intelligent terminal system may have more other software and functi on,it won't be stable all the time.To avoid the gusty breakdown,the VGA display mode is used as a standby mode.This design uses four infrared distance measurement sensors,takes FPGA as the core processor,bases on Verilog hardware programming l anguage,and designs PC image display interface by Python language,with the design of Ethernet module on FPGA to complete the main mode.In the design process,pri nciple diagram of the hardware system has to be completed first,then the software.The system experiments first prove that the system is available correctly.And ma ny experiments are used to make the calibration of value displayed on PC and the pr actical obstacle distance.After that,the contrast experiments are done through a variet y of sensor distribution.The results show that the biggest variance is 2.0,which mea ns a small error.Experiment data of flat rectangular arrangement method show that th is method is not conducive to judge the direction and speed of the obstacles.The non-plannar trapezoidal arrangement method cannot meet the demand of application.Isome tric configuration in line method is helpful to judge the direction of obstacles,and abl e to show the path of obstacles.This method can get most information.Other subtype s of this method may have interference in the exhaust gas and so on.Therefore the b est way for application is isometric configuration in line method.
