In recent years,land resources and coastal resources become increasingly scarce in developed coastal areas.In order to find new shoreline and land resources,reclamation projects present the trend of accelerated development.In order to avoid the ecological impact caused by reclamation projects,island resource development and artificial island projects will become popularized in the future.However,artificial island construction will bring new artificial shoreline,change the seabed bathymetric,and it will inevitably impressed the surrounding water environment and the scouring and depositing process of seabed,then affect artificial island itself.Therefore,during the construction of artificial island,the impact on the hydrodynamic environment of the surrounding sea must be considered,which is very important to reduce the damage to the marine environment.The effect of coast reclamationon the nearby water and sediment environment is studied.Firstly,review the relevant literature at home and abroad,summarizethemethod of water and sediment simulation of coastal reclamation.Then based on theartificial island tourism and leisure projectin Qinhuangdao city,using the method of mathematical model,study and analysethe water and sediment problems in the process of land reclamation in Qinhuangdao area,and demonstratesits influence on the water and sediment environment in the surrounding area.This research provide some suggestions and reference for the planning of land reclamation engineering.The main contents include the following aspects:(1)By analyzing the natural conditions related to the project(including weather,tide,wave and sediment environment)and coastal evolution,obtain the hydrodynamic characteristics before the artificial island construction,lay a basis on the numerical study.(2)The tide range in Qinhuangdao area is small,and current speed is relatively small.In this paper,anested tidal current mathematical model based on triangular mesh is constructed,and the complex tidal current field near the amphidromic point in Qinhuangdao sea area is simulated successfully.(3)By analyzing the measured data of project sea area and the sinkwhich hassimilar bottom sediment environment with project sea area,a formula on sediment-carrying capacity is fitted to provide important parameters for the establishment of sediment.mathematical model.(4)According to the characteristics of projectsea area,set up atwo-dimensional tidal current mathematical model,wave mathematical model,mathematical model of sediment movement and mathematical model of sediment transport based on triangular mesh,analyze the characteristics of water and sediment in the natural state.(5)Simulate the characteristicsof the tidal current field around project sea area,analyze the variation of the currentfrom the aspects of velocity,direction and impact on the surrounding water.(6)Simulate thesediment field after the project,and calculatethe variation of sediment.(7)Analyze the sediment transport in the coastal areaafterthe artificial island project.(8)Compare the results of numerical model and physical model in both current and sediment siltation.This study will not only provide basis for the artificial island design in Qinhuangdao,but also can be extended to other artificial island construction project with similar hydrodynamic environment.which has a certain universality.
