The application of solar energy to ships has broad development prospective while designing and manufacturing of photovoltaic module structure is one key factor of solar energy technology applied to ships.The photovoltaic module structure is vulnerable to fatigue damage under long-time effect of alternating load.Currently,the study on structure of photovoltaic system in large ships is very limited.This paper takes solar energy tanker and its photovoltaic module as object to research its fatigue performance.The calculation model analyzing photovoltaic module structure is established and method applied to analyze fatigue performance of photovoltaic module structure is summarized,providing beneficial reference for designing of photovoltaic module structure,layout scheme,reliability evaluation and perfecting of solar energy ship regulations.The main research contents are:1.Studying principles and methods of broad application of ship fatigue evaluation,focusing on introducing S-N curve method and Weibull distribution of long-time distribution in conformity with stress range.2.Studying simplified algorithm of fatigue evaluation in China Classification Society's Guide to Calculation of Fatigue Strength of Ship Structure,analyzing fatigue strength of typical node of target ship hull,as well as analyzing the influence of photovoltaic system laid on the deck on fatigue strength;3.According to hot spot stress method and related regulations in Guide to Fatigue Evaluation of Marine Engineering Structure on calculation of fatigue strength of tube joint,in combination with features of load photovoltaic module supports bears,analyzing the fatigue strength of photovoltaic module supports,and discussing influence of photovoltaic system layout,navigation speed and others on its fatigue performance.4.Analyzing and calculating fatigue life of photovoltaic module support structure at different positions on the deck based on FE-SAFE software,analyzing the influence of layout position of photovoltaic system and navigation speed on position of fatigue damage in the structure.
