Flow field is a typical representation of vector field in hydrological environment.It has a greater impact on the actual physical phenomenon and the use of engineering.The numerical calculation of flow field mainly involves hydrodynamics,hydrology dynamics,numerical analysis,Geographic Information System(GIS),Computational fluid dynamics computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)and other multidisciplinary theoretical knowledge and cross application.At the same time,navigation research has keeps pace with the vigorous development of China's shipping industry.In the course of the design and integration of the navigation simulator,the simulation technology of the real navigation environment is born.Among them,the definition of navigation is not only coastal,offshore,ocean navigation,but also including inland river navigation.The simulation Research of inland navigation simulator is still in the preliminary stage,especially in the flow field of river environmental elements.Firstly,it analyzes some different numerical models,calculates and simulates the river flow field by FVCOM model,and then,displays the effect of flow field in the inland navigation simulator by using the flow field numerical calculation results,which completes the following work:It completes the basic data collection.According to the electronic chart of the area of the river,it studies the data structure of electronic chart;completes the work of collecting the relevant geographical data(shoreline data and water depth data)in the electronic chart.It studies the data type of the vector field in the existing numerical calculation,analyze the flow field data structure and the method of numerical calculation of flow field,carries the flow field calculation of rivers is carried out by FVCOM model according to the coastal line situation and terrain feature of River and the advantages and disadvantages of different numerical models.At the same time,it uses two dimensional(vertical)averaging equations to calculate the flow field distribution of monolayer which makes sure the accuracy of calculation.It uses the unstructured grid generation technology,gets the triangle grid suitable for model calculation,divides the mesh by Delaunay method,and the triangle with inconsistent requirements is eliminated or optimized according to the requirement of triangle precision.It takes the Yangzhou section of the Yangtze River as an example,it uses the Fortran language of Linux,completes the numerical calculation and simulation,proves the effect of the flow field change into the application of the inland navigation simulator and displays the effect in the S-57 electronic chart.
