During heating period,the "Three North" area has a high heat load and low electric load in China.The contradiction between power grid peaking and heating which is the main reason that exacerbates the wind curtailment.Thermal energy storage and battery storage are important means to reduce wind curtailment.Wind power heating and heat storage can not only improve the acceptance of wind power,but also improve the current severe haze situation.Battery energy storage,as a high-quality energy that can respond quickly and energy can flow in both directions,which is of great significance for the safety and stability of high wind power penetration gird in the future.Therefore,it is the focus of current research to analyze wind curtailment of power grid and explore the coordinated operation rules and optimize the allocation of multiple types of energy storage.This paper first analyzes the mechanism of wind curtailment during the heating period from the perspective of peak shaving,compares the methods of statistical calculation of wind curtailment,and analyses the relationship of Electro-thermal coupling of CHP(combined heat and power)unit,and establishes a dispatching model of regional power grid with wind farms which considering power system and thermal system constraints,then the impact of wind power penetration,heat load level and electric load level to wind curtailment were analyzed quantitatively.The analysis results can provide theoretical guidance for formulating wind power consumption measures.Based on the dispatch of combined power and heat,the way to consume wind power and operation control strategies of battery energy storage-heat storage system is analyzed.Considering the constraints of power system and thermal power system,the power grid operation model is established,which electric boiler with heat storage as the main body coordinated with battery storage to consuming wind power,Comparing effect of different operation to consume wind curtailment,and effect to peaking under coordinated operation.The method can providing methodological basis for the optimal configuration of the battery energy storage and electric boiler with heat storage.Then,an optimal configuration model was established for battery storage and electric boilers with thermal storage considering heat gains,environmental benefits,investment costs,etc.and analyzed the impact of heating area and other factors on the configuration.When determining the capacity configuration,the consideration should be given first to the matching of wind farm capacity and heat load,and then to consider the optimal configuration of the battery energy storage.This method can increase equipment utilization efficiency and increase investment returns.Finally,optimization planning platform of electric boiler with heat storage coordinated with battery storage is developed based on VS2013 and SQL2012 software.An example is based on actual operational data of wind farms in the “Three North” region in China,which verifies the effectiveness of the planning platform.The planning platform can provides theoretical reference for capacity planning of the actual project.
