The urbanization rate in China has rapidly increased from 17.38% in the 1970 s to 58.52%.The hotel industry,which is an important part of the service industry,has also achieved a high degree of development.Until 2017,five-star hotels in China solely have increased to 841.At the same time,due to factors such as the pursuit of efficiency and the convergence of design and malignant comparison,modern hotel lobbies also appear to be stereotyped and homogenized.Excessively pursuing benefits while ignoring guest’s psychological feelings and behavioral autonomy.The lobby of a hotel is the first space for guests to enter the hotel,which provides the users with an activity space.Before arriving at the hotel,each guest will psychologically have a potential “expectation” for the hotel,expecting a warm and safe environment and looking forward to unforgettable memories.Hotel investors and designers need to understand how to cater to the psychological needs of their guests so that their potential "expectations" can be maximized.It can also enhance the hotel’s brand influence,while improving the hotel’s economic efficiency.This article is divided into five chapters for research.The first chapter is the introduction part.The research background of this paper and the theoretical concept of related behavioral psychology provide a theoretical basis for the study of the dissertation.The second chapter mainly outlines the basic knowledge of five-star hotel lobby,the development venation,functional structure,and personnel composition of hotel lobby.The third chapter analyzes the psychological and behavior needs of hotel lobbyusers,the psychological needs of different users,and the internal logical relationship between behavior and psychology by observing users’ behaviors in the hotel lobby.Classify behaviors according to the relationship between behaviors and space.Then analyze the demand for behavior patterns in the hotel lobby.In accordance with the logical relationship of "psychology-behavior-space",users’ psychological and behavior needs are implemented in the hotel lobby.The fourth chapter is the decomposition and integration of the space elements in the hotel lobby.From such two aspects as the spatial elements and the visual elements,the design method of behavioral psychology to space needs is analyzed,and different factors are analyzed to give users different psychological experiences.The fifth chapter is the study of the design and development of hotel lobby based on behavioral psychology,including the design development trend of various functional zones and the hotel as a whole.Based on the behavioral psychological analysis mentioned above and the questionnaire,the design techniques are summarized from the perspective of spatial factors,combined with different users,different orientations,and different development trends.
