Environmental pollution and energy shortage are the most concerned issues in today's society.It is energy-saving and emission-reduction technology that are critical problem to solve.The automobile lightweight can reduce energy consumption as well as harmful gas emissions,and thus it has become the best scheme of energy saving and emission reduction.Carbon fiber composites are the most potential materials in automotive lightweight.With the advantages of high specific strength and high specific modulus,carbon fiber composites have been developed rapidly in recent years.The purpose of this paper is to research the use of carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites(CFRTP)instead of metal materials,which is applied in automobile seat frame.According to the anisotropic mechanical properties of CFRTP,based on the lightweight design of the car seat frame,this paper discusses the structure design of composite material seat framework and its moulding process.On the base of the above,this article mainly carries on three parts of research as follow.1.The modeling and finite element simulation analysis of traditional metal material seat frame which can provide the basis and reference for the subsequent structural design.Then the structure of the carbon fiber composite seat frame is designed,and the three-dimensional model is established.The ANSYS Workbench ACP finite element simulation software is used to simulate the seat frame of carbon fiber composite by reference to the national standard.According to the simulation results,the design of each component is optimized.2.The laminated moulding pressing used in production of carbon fiber seat frame is studied in the way of testing and characterizing by stretching,bending,SEM,Ultrasonic C Scan and DSC etc.Then the effects of molding temperature,pressure,time and cooling rate on the mechanical properties of composite laminates were studied by orthogonal test.Finally,the process parameters of the optimized post-lamination molding method are determined:Processing temperature is 260 ?,pressure 3 MPA,time 10 min,and cooling rate 10?/min.Under the processing parameters,the mechanical properties of CF/PA6 laminates are optimal,with the tensile strength and modulus being 974.69 MPa and 32.6 GPa,respectively,and the flexural strength and modulus 776.48 MPa and 28.8 GPa,respectively.3.According to the structure and size of the designed carbon fiber composite seat frame,the mould material is selected,the mould drawing is drawn,and the mould is processed.With the optimum processing parameters of laminating molding,the carbon fiber composite seat frame is fabricated,and after which the adhesive bolt hybrid connection is used to connect the components.The weight of the carbo n fiber composite seat frame after assembly is about 57% less than that of the original metal seat frame.
