Gear transmission is widely used in mechanical equipment.The performance of gear rotor will directly affect the operation of mechanical equipment.With the continuous improvement of people's requirements for production and life,the gear transmission system should also have better performance.For locomotive,how to solve the problem of unreasonable distribution of surface stress caused by concentrated load of gear has caused some problems to researchers.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze and study the dynamic characteristics of locomotive gear and rotor system.In this paper,the gear and rotor system of locomotive traction motor is taken as the research object,and the gear meshing model and the simplified model of the gear rotor system are established based on UG.Using the Ansys Workbench finite element analysis software,the simplified model of gear rotor in UG is introduced into the Model module for modal analysis.The first 10 order natural frequencies and vibration pattern of the motor gear rotor system are obtained.Then the gear meshing model is introduced into the Workbench transient analysis module,and the gear meshing finite element model is established.The dynamic meshing characteristics of gears are analyzed,and the maximum contact stress of gear meshing at different times is solved.The gear meshing model with cracks on the tooth surface is established in Workbench,and the gear contact stress changes are analyzed.The maximum contact stress of the normal gear and the fault gear is compared.It is found that when the gear meshing position is located on the fault tooth surface,the maximum contact stress is larger than that of the normal tooth surface,and the more obvious the crack is,the greater the stress difference between the normal and the fault gear is.It shows that the existence of crack on the tooth surface will bring some hidden danger to the production.The theoretical calculation of gear contact strength is carried out,and the results obtained from the finite element analysis have little error,which shows that Workbench is effective for dynamic contact analysis of gear.The research results are expected to provide a theoretical basis for the design and manufacture of the gear rotor system of traction motors.
