In recent years,gas pipeline of transmission and distribution has become one of the most crucial urban infrastructures.However,large scale of gas pipeline system lied under streets and densely populated areas,which causes gas pipeline leaking accidents occurring frequently and loss of life and property.In order to prevent the occurrence of gas pipeline accidents,many gas pipeline companies and technology research institution launched a research on the safety assessment system of gas pipeline,but facing a common problem of lacking of gas pipeline failure accidents data.Therefore,establishing a failure database and calculating failure probability of gas pipeline have significant meaning on the achievement of quantitative risk assessment,sharing of failure data,and the safe operation of gas pipeline.This thesis makes statistical analysis on the gas pipeline failure both in domestic and abroad,besides gives a list of failure factors of urban gas pipeline in china combined with fault tree analysis.Meanwhile,this paper redefined pipeline failure and proposes failure database design principles,function and data structure of failure database.The urban gas pipeline failure data is expressed with data sheets.This paper develops urban gas pipeline failure database management system,and realizes data input,query,modification,statistics,and other functions of pipeline failure on the basis of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and SQL server 2008.This paper focuses on application research of urban gas pipeline failure database using gas pipeline company engineering example.The paper obtains pipeline failure statistics and failure probability of this pipeline company,makes security status analysis and risk prevention,and puts forward prevention and improvement measures as well.
