Consider from the microscopic structure,the asphalt mixture is mainly combination of mineral aggregate,asphalt binder and gap,the mineral aggregate occupy the main part of the mixture both in volume and quality,but also the major factor of the material strength.Therefore,it's necessary to systematic study the mineral aggregate which is the main combination of the mixture,analyze it's features of the geometrical properties and the characteristics of different mineral filling structure,then discuss the influence of the mineral characteristics on the macroscopic performance of the mixture.In this paper,the 3D high-precision laser scanner is used to collect data of samples.Based on the single-particle three-dimensional morphological data acquisition,step-bystep unilateral scanning test method realized the test and digitalization of the threedimensional morphological characteristics of the unilateral composite mineral aggregate,the curvature geometric index is proposed to evaluate the geometrical changes of the mineral particle pattern.The paper summarizes the theory of particle filling geometrical model,and carries out the filling test with different shape characteristics and different particle size aggregates in the room,explores the basic law of the volume characteristics of the material filling state in the experiment,and compares it with the theoretical filling model,the results show that the theoretical porosity of the sphere model is not fully applicable to the study and description of the filling state of aggregate particles.The equal particle size and double particle size filling test of gravel and pebble mineral materials shows that particle shape difference,particle size,particle size ratio,the proportion of filling and other factors both influence the mineral filling properties.Then the combined filling test of asphalt mixture mineral aggregate was designed,and the typical gradation was tested.The test demonstrated the skeleton structure and gap characteristics of the asphalt mixture,the problems of the formation of the mineral skeleton in the asphalt mixture were also discussed.This paper preliminarily proposes a test method of asphalt mixture mineral aggregate combined with rotary compaction filling,which is used to determine the skeleton formation status of asphalt mixture.The performance of the skeleton is also need to be confirmed by the mechanical properties of the mixture and the final test of same type asphalt mixture road performance.But this method can be a reference for the study of the asphalt mixture gradation skeleton structure and new design method about the boundary of particle size of skeleton.
