Zhuozi County is one of the key Mountain flood disaster prevention and control counties in China.It is in arid and semi-arid area in the north,and the annual rainfal l is relatively small.However,due to its backward economic conditions and unique u nderlying factors,resulting in the occurrence of floods can easily occur.In order to re duce the losses caused by the torrential disasters,this paper analyzes the seriousness o f the torrential disasters in Zhuozi County from the characteristics and causes of the h istorical torrential disasters and the torrential disasters in Zhuozi County.Based on the analysis of the current situation of monitoring and warning,The necessity of early w arning index of each mountain prevention and control area in the county,and then th e selection of the early warning index of the typical control area to provide reference for the prevention and control of the flood disaster in Zhuozi County.(1)Based on the analysis of socio-economic,underlying factors,historical torrential disasters and flood control projects,it is concluded that the mountain flood disaster i n Zhuozi County has a wide range of disasters,and the regional differences are obvio us;seasonal,high frequency;sudden strong,disaster fast,short duration,difficult to pre vent;high degree of disaster,the difficulty of recovery and other four major characteri stics.And understand the characteristics of rainfall,the unique characteristics of the un derlying surface,unreasonable human activities,behind the flood control project measu res are caused by Zhuozi County torrential disasters occurred in the main cause.(2)Monitoring and early warning is an important non-engineering measure of mo untain flood disaster prevention and control.It is based on early warning index and m onitoring and early warning platform.The early warning index is the basis for forecas ting the mountain flood disaster.Its accuracy directly affects the monitoring and forec asting effect of flash flood disaster With the national mountain torrents disaster preven tion and control of county non-engineering measures to carry out the construction,Zh uozi County monitoring and early warning system has been a very good construction.But in the early warning indicators fixed,the quantitative is still very backward,only 1 hour,3 hours,6 hours,24 hours 4 typical warning period to determine the only one early warning indicators on the county all the mountain flood disaster prevention an d control area for early warning forecast,this far,Can not meet the local flash flood disaster monitoring and forecasting requirements,so the county maglev disaster disaster prevention and control area of the early warning index is very important.In this pap er,the typical flood control area of the mountainous flood disaster area is selected as the typical research object.The water level and reverse flow method are used to calc ulate the critical water content in the dry soil,The early warning index of the floodin g and flooding in the flood control area was carried out by using the early warning i ndex.And to get other early warning indicators of mountain flood disaster prevention and control areas for the Zhuozi County torrential disaster early warning and forecasti ng services.
