Quality Evaluation Method For High-Speed Railway Train Dispatching Based On Delay Recovery

The competitive advantages of High-Speed Railway(HSR)in China,such as high safety,fast speed and small interval,make it more and more popular with the vast number of passengers.Simultaneously,passengers are also becoming increasingly fastidious about the quality of the transport service.Train dispatching work is one of the key factors to the good transport service.Efficient dispatching can guarantee the safe,punctual and well-organized train operation.However,the methodology for evaluating train dispatching is temporally deficient,and the quality cannot be quantitatively measured.Therefore,in this paper,an evaluation method according to train delay and recovery conditions was established,based on historical train operation records.The main jobs are as follows:1)Train dispatching of HSR was summarized of which the main assignments,work procedures and common train adjusting approaches were clarified and a data-driven dispatching evaluation technique was proposed.2)Based on the operation records from 2015 to 2016 of Wuhan-Guangzhou HSR,the primary delay distribution model was established from the delay extent,delay spatial and temporal aspects,and therefore,the train delay condition was constructed.3)According to the established train delay condition,delay increasing/recovering model was built in terms of the delay extent,delay increasing/recovering extent and delay temporal and spatial increasing/recovering points,and the train delay recovering condition was quantified.4)Based on the proposed train delay condition and delay recovering condition,an evaluation framework which includes the objections,indexes and constraints was developed,and the procedures and division standards for evaluation results were ensured according to this framework.5)Finally,a delayed train set and a dispatching plan were selected to validate the practicability of proposed evaluation framework.This thesis is the first study on train dispatching evaluation of HSR based on the train delay condition and recovering condition.The proposed method can be applied to objectively evaluate the performance of a period of train dispatching.
