With the benefit of green environmental protection,beautiful shape and well seismic performance,light timber-frame structure is widely loved.As the main lateral resisting member,light timber structure shear wall is serious destruction,and overall deformation is too large.Therefore,a new type of steel-timber composite member,prestressed cross bar timber structure shear wall was put forward,which added four corner anchoring parts on the base of traditional timber structure shear wall,while cross bar was set on corner anchoring part,and prestress was applied.To study the lateral performance of new type prestressed cross bar timber structure shear wall,the following work was carried out in the paper:The main connection mode of light timber structure shear wall is nail joint connection,which directly affect lateral performance of light timber structure shear wall.To study the failure mode and mechanical performance of nail joint,the tests of panel nail joint and frame nail joint under monotonic load were conducted.Failure mode,load-displacement curves and restoring force model of different types of nail joint were obtained,which for one thing can reflect nail joint mechanical performance,for the other can provide basic data for finite element simulation analysis of prestressed cross bar timber structure shear wall.To study the influence of corner anchoring part,cross bar and prestress value on lateral resistance behavior of timber structure shear wall,5 groups in total 10 light timber structure shear wall were made and conducted monotonic load test,which can obtain failure mode,shear strength,elastic lateral rigidity,ultimate displacement,ductility,energy dissipation and studs uplift.The research showed that,the failure mode of light timber structure shear wall mainly included nail joint failure and studs uplift failure,occasionally accompanied with splitting of bottom plate,the failure mode of nail joint included nail embedded,nail pulled out,panel tear,demesh of panel and frame.The timber shear wall with corner anchoring part and cross bar can constraint studs uplift,can increase shear strength,elastic lateral rigidity and ultimate displacement,can increase ductility and energy dissipation.Applying prestress to cross bar can elastic lateral rigidity,and larger of the prestress force,the more significant of the effect,but has little effect on shear strength.By ABAQUS finite element software,5 groups of light timber structure shear wall under monotonic load were simulated and analyzed,the deformation condition of light timber structure shear wall was obtained.By comparison of finite element simulation results and tests results,the reliability of models were verified,the reasons of error were analyzed,which can provide reference for further research of light timber structure shear wall.
