Owing to competitive features of atomized field and swirl air field,spray combustion of light oil burner is regarded as a complex action about droplets.Many factors will be included into influencing the flame shape and operating conditions are more significant.In order to get the flame shape under different operating conditions,influence rule on the flame shape of light oil burner by operating conditions will be studied through theoretical analysis and experiment in this paper.It will be important and valuable for engineering application,such as predicting clod flame shape of light oil burner in the process of production,using light oil burner in a different environment,or adjusting flame shape to be fit with the structure of different hearth.Firstly,changing law between control unit coefficients and operating parameters was researched on the basis of analyzing and summarizing the predecessors’ theories,and fitting curves and equations between damper baffle coefficient and air volume,combustion tube coefficient and air distribution,oil pressure and mass ware got.It provided a possibility for associating droplet diameter around combustor outlet with air volume,air distribution ratio and oil mass and getting the fitting curve.Secondly,impact of air volume,air distribution ratio and oil mass on flame shape was analyzed and verified by orthogonal experiment and the influence law of which on flame shape were studied by single variable experiment.Considering the effect of particle size and dimensionless of function variables synthetically,particle diameter was added into the scope of influence factors of flame shape,and then the independent variables were amend into flame length-droplet diameter ratio and flame diameter-droplet diameter ratio.Finally,through analyzing experimental data of flame shape comprehensively with 1stOp1.5PRO,equation between flame length-droplet diameter ratio,air-oil ratio and air distribution was obtained,as well as equation between flame diameter-droplet diameter ratio and the same variables.On base of that,a predicted software of flame shape by operating conditions was worked out.
