In recent years,as the popularity of electric vehicles have improved a lot,it has brought some new opportunities and challenges.As a kind of clean vehicle,electric vehicle is inevitably affected by the fluctuation of power grid due to its relatively large amount of power.In order to minimize the impact of the electric vehicle on the grid,the charging and discharging of electric vehicles need to be controlled orderly.Although the charging and discharging capacity of a single electric vehicle is small,the total capacity of a large number of electric vehicles is not negligible.At this time,we can consider the clean electric energy absorbed by the electric vehicle at night to be used for the daytime peak and reactive power compensation.For grid companies solve the grid load and reactive power compensation backup problems.For users will be provided to power grid peak shaving and to receive the service fee for reactive power compensation services,lowered the costs of purchases and indirectly promote the popularity of the electric car,achieve a win-win situation.Firstly,based on the extensive literature and literature review of related fields at home and abroad,this article reviews the research status and development level of electric vehicle participation in grid peak load regulation and reactive power compensation at home and abroad.Secondly,the principle of peak regulation of electric power grid and the participation of electric vehicles in the peak regulation of power grid are briefly introduced,and the active peaking and reactive power compensation control strategies of electric vehicles are studied.Again,the discharge circuit and distribution system of the discharge station were designed,and parameters such as inverters,DC-DC converters,and transformers were selected.Finally,the simulation model of the discharge station is built under Matlab/Simlink.The simulation compares and analyzes the voltage and current phases when the power grid has no active peaking and reactive power compensation and the electric vehicle participates in peak load regulation and reactive power compensation under different time periods.As to power fluctuations,verifying that the participation of electric vehicles in the peak load regulation of power grids can obviously make the load curve of the power grid smooth.Participation in reactive power compensation of distribution grids can significantly increase the power factor.
