With the emergence of the energy depleted and environmental pollution,governments around the world have accelerated their research on new energy vehicles.As one of the important research field of new energy automotive industry,pure electric vehicles are considered to be the main development direction of automobile industry due to it has low noise,zero emission,high energy efficiency,etc,comparing with the traditional internal combustion engine vehicles.The maximum speed of the low-speed pure electric vehicles is less than 80km/h.Meanwhile,since the convenience for residents to commute,they are widely used in rural and urban areas in China.Moreover,the whole vehicle controller is the core part of the electric control system of pure electric vehicle,which is the "nerve center" of the vehicle control and it plays an important role in the safety of the whole vehicle.Since the low-speed pure electric vehicle has low performance and technology,so it is necessary to ensure the normal driving of the vehicle by a vehicle controller.This study is derived from the Shandong higher school science and technology project named “research and development of the hybrid electric bus driver motor controller”(J11LD69).Combined with the actual demand,a low-speed electric vehicle controller is developed,including controller hardware circuit design,control strategy research and simulation,software design,test and analysis,etc.Low-speed electric vehicle based on the single motor is studied in this paper,remolding the “Shifeng” sightseeing vehicle.Based on the characteristics of low-speed electric vehicles and the dynamic performance indicators,the parameter of the power system is obtained.By the above working,the motor can be determined in this paper.Besides,according to the control function and technical requirements of low-speed electric vehicle,the vehicle controller is developed and the low-speed electric vehicle control strategy is designed.In addition,the hardware and software of the vehicle controller is designed and the MATLAB/Simulink,AVL-Cruise is employed to implement the simulation experiment and the real vehicle bench experiment.Finally the model machine isdeveloped.Simulation results and bench experiment show that the dynamic matching computation can satisfy the requirement of transforming dynamic index,the designed controller for vehicle and its control strategy can satisfy the robustness and the requirement of the drive control,which provides the basis for the drive control strategy of further optimization.The safety performance of the vehicle can be further improved and the standardization of low-speed electric vehicles can be significant promoted by this research.
