Bipolar plate for proton-exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC)is one of crucial components,which influences not only the performance but also the cost of the stack.It is the key issue of PEMFC industrialization.In this paper,the composite material was prepared with resin and expand graphite,and bipolar plates were produced by stamp method.Through studying on the material electric resistance,strength,permeability ect.,the optimum condition of resin quantity and plate density were put forward.A stack was assembled with the bipolar plates and its performance was tested.The result show that PEMFC's performance and stabilization are qualified.A kind of composite material was developed using expanded graphite with epoxy resin and linear phenolic resin modified by silicon resin.The bipolar plates for PEMFC was prepared by this material.The elongate ratio of the composite material are enhanced due to adding the resin,moreover the strength of solidified resin change hardly.Accordingly,the composite material thickness is able to be reduced considerablely and the bipolar plates can be made thiner than before.Execute PEMFC group using thiner expanded graphite bipolar plate.I test cell performance in different condition,so ensure best employment condition of cell group.
