Controller provide control service for civil aircraft for 24 hours,which results in lack of sleep to controllers and the destruction of the body's circadian rhythm,and is the main cause of controller fatigue.However,there is few research on the fatigue problem of controllers who are in the shift work.So the theoretical research that the first-line units can refer to when establishing the shift work system is limited.The paper researches two issues: First,the influence of different shift work systems to controller fatigue within similar busyness airspace.Second,how the fatigue changes when the controllers who are in high fatigue risk continue to engage in high-intensity load,and the effect of fatigue on the controller's cognitive behavior.For the first question,the single-factor test between subjects was used to design the experiment.There is similar number of controller and busyness of airspace between The Northwest Air Traffic Control Bureau and the Southwest Air Traffic Control Bureau which are invited to participate in the experiment.For the second question,inviting the controllers who had just off the control seat to participate in the experiment at 12:00 and at 00:00 in the typical busy terminal North China Approach Control Center.The first experiment shows that the shift work system has a significant effect on the fatigue of controllers with similar degree of busyness airspace.The fatigue index of work 2 hours off for 2 hours is the lowest,work 2 hours off for 1 hour is second,work 2 hours off for 0.5 hour is highest.Under the shift of work 2 hours off 1 hour,the fatigue of control units with high level busyness of airspace is significantly higher than that units with relatively lower busyness of airspace.The second Experiment shows that the fatigue risk of the controller at night is significantly higher than that during the day.There is positive one-way linear relationship between the degree of fatigue before work and reaction time,and the fitting degree is 0.7418,which means the degree of fatigue before work causes a significant effect to cognitive behavior of controllers:the greater the fatigue degreeof controller before work,the poorer cognitive performance at work.The results of the study provide a reference for the crew scheduling and preventing the fatigue risk of controllers in the work.
