Understanding the performance changes of wood structures under the action of ground motion,based seismic design ideas,can help people to better evaluate the performance of wood structures and more reasonably maintain and repair ancient wood structures.Based on the incremental dynamic analysis method,and according to the relevant specifications of the "Sixth-grade timber" timber construction for the "Building Code",established a simplified post-steel frame model with a dovetail joint using the finite element software Abaqus.Wood frame model was conducted dynamic simulation and analysis test about the influence of the variation of vertical load and the size of the dovetail joints' end gap.The finite element analysis of the natural vibration period of each timber frame was carried out.The relationship between free vibration period and amplitude of each timber frame model under different initial horizontal displacements was obtained,and the periodic range of the timber frame was determined.The results show that when the initial displacement is small,the period and amplitude of the timber frame have a linear relationship.The eight ground motion records with the characteristic period in the auto-vibration period of the timber frame are selected.The dynamic time history of each timber frame model is simulated and analyzed,and the dynamic time history curve of each model.The analysis results show that the duration of the main shock of the ground motion has a greater influence on the dynamic time history of the timber frame than the effect of the characteristic cycle.The dynamic time history curve of each timber frame model was statistically processed to obtain its single ground motion IDA curve and multiple ground motion IDA curves,and each IDA curve was analyzed.The results show that the IDA curve of the timber frame has good convergence,and there are obvious enhancement stages(increase in the slope of the IDA divergence line)and softening stage(decrease in the slope of the IDA locator line).There is no obvious monotonous relationship between the load of the wooden frame and the seismic performance of the wooden frame seismic performance;within the scope of safety performance points(LS performance points),the end of the wood frame dovetail joint has no significant effect on the anti-dumping performance of the timber frame.
