Research On The Management Of Infrastructure Construction Project In Benin,Africa

The quantity and quality of infrastructure construction projects affect economic growth and national competitiveness.At the same time,the operation and management of infrastructure construction projects are also important factors that affect the country’s sustainable development.Infrastructure is a precondition for the development of a country or region.In particular,infrastructure projects in African countries play a decisive role in the economic restructuring.They link different departments,keep production systems consistent,and narrow the gap between urban and rural areas.Promote the development of productive forces and economic growth,so that the distribution of wealth between all levels of society,between urban and rural areas,is more balanced.As we all know,improving quality and improving infrastructure stocks can promote faster,more sustainable and more comprehensive development of the country.Therefore,promoting the construction and operation management of infrastructure projects can effectively promote economic growth and social development.This has also become the consensus of leaders in the African region.However,it must be recognized that there are major flaws in the construction and operation management of numerous national infrastructure projects in the African region,including Benin.At present,African countries have a relatively small infrastructure,and the construction process and operation management system have not yet been established.Management during the construction process is confusing and there are no standards to follow.Operational processes often lead to frequent accidents and the operation and management of infrastructure projects in economically developed countries.There is a big gap between them.Starting from the infrastructure conditions in Benin,this paper proposes to adopt the PPPs model to improve the construction and operation management of Benin infrastructure projects.The main contents of the project are as follows:(1)Benin transport,road facilities,ports,railways,airports,etc.A survey was carried out to analyze the existing problems and challenges faced;(2)Based on the PPPs model of the UK,Canada,Australia,and China,research and analysis was conducted from various aspects including the advantages of the PPPs model,identified factors,project phases,contract models,financing strategies,and risk management,combined with Benin’s current.The development status of the company proposes adopting the PPPs model to improve the construction and operation management of the Benin infrastructure project;(3)Taking the Glo-Djigbe International Airport under construction in Benin as an example,the current problems of airport construction were analyzed from the aspects of the external environment,technology and economy,etc.Demonstrated the feasibility of adopting PPPs model,and applied PPPs operation management model to airport construction to solve the problems existing in airport construction and provide guidance for the construction of Benin infrastructure project.
