The consecutive aircraft headway in the air traffic flow which is one of the important characteristic parameters of traffic flow is the entry point for the analysis of the characteristics of the air traffic flow from the macroscopic level to the micro level.The analysis and modeling based on real data is the basic content of constructing air traffic flow theory,and it has wide application value in air traffic engineering.In addition,with the continuous development of surveillance data collection technology,the accumulated abundant data creates the basic conditions for excavating the micro-operational rules and implied knowledge of air traffic systems.First of all,aiming at the demand of data processing method for air traffic flow characteristics analysis,according to the characteristics of air traffic operation,the methods which processing Eulerian headway data and Lagrangian headway data from trajectory data was proposed,so as to prepare data for the research.Secondly,starting with the Euclidian headway data,the log-normal probability density function was used to characterize the statistical distribution of the air route traffic flow headway,and the headway distribution of the air route traffic flow in different speed intervals was also analyzed.In addition,the ternary mixed distribution model was constructed to successfully fit the headway distribution of arrival traffic flow in terminal areas containing complex traffic states,thus defining the three traffic states of traffic flow in terminal areas: free state,steady state and congestion state.The expectation and deviation of the aircraft headway under the corresponding state was given.Then,Based on the correlation dimension,it was proved that the time series has the chaos characteristic.Therefore,the adding-weight one-rank local-region method which belongs to the time series fractal self-similar modeling theory was approved and applied to the modeling of headway time series approach and terminal areas.Finally,starting from the Lagrangian headway data,the paper analyzed the performance of the controller's control strategy by analyzing the deviation of the aircraft spacing and the target spacing.In addition,through the analysis of the evolution characteristics of aircraft spacing under different traffic conditions,the inherent relationship between the traffic states and the evolution of spacing was revealed.This paper defined Eulerian and Lagrangian headway data.Starting with real air traffic data,aircraft headway which is the microscopic traffic flow parameter was used as the starting point to reveal the randomness,complex nonlinearity and dynamics of aircraft headway,had made useful explorations in the study of microscopic characteristics of traffic flow.
