Temporal Variation Of Recreation Suitability Of Urban Forests In Shanghai:An Evaluation Study

Under the background of public's increasing outdoor recreation demand,the significance of urban forest function is becoming more and more prominent.As an important part of national leisure tourism system,forest recreation function development is the important content of urban ecological construction.The key to raise and manage urban forest recreational function is to evaluate and diagnose urban forest recreation suitability of different space-time scale.64 Shanghai forestlands were selected as research project.Through the construction of urban forest recreational suitability evaluation index system and the basis of analysis Shanghai urban forest landscape dynamic change among year 2000?2006 and 2012,the dynamic changes of the urban forest recreation suitability and its evolution were explored.Main results are as followed:(1)The overall various characteristics of landscape dynamic changes of Shanghai urban forest were revealed:Among different landscape types the largest in the area is vegetation.The change trend of landscape types,with the increase of the year the vegetation increased.The change of water and road is that from 2000 to 2006 annual average increase,from 2006 to 2012 year fell.The two types of 2000 to 2012,the total trend are reduced.The change of management and service facility is that from 2000 to 2006 annual average decrease,from 2006 to 2012 rise.Total trend is increased.The change of landscape facilities?farmland and leisure venues as showed a trend of decrease with the increase of the year.Rate of landscape dynamic change is that the fastest growth rate is landscape facilities and the second is the vegetation.The fastest reduce rate is recreation space and farmland.(2)Urban forest recreation suitability evaluation system was constructed,which consists of recreation resources,recreation facilities,recreation location and Landscape type diversity,vegetation coverage rate,water rate,recreation sites,management and service facility,landscape facility,to the main road distance,to the settlement distance,to surrounding leisure attractions distance.According to the score,we divided recreation suitability into four grades,from high to low are:the high suitable,moderate suitable,marginally suitable and not suitable.(3)Between 2000 and 2012,64 pieces of urban forest recreation suitability changed significantly.Most urban forest in 2000 are marginally suitable and moderate suitable,36 and 20 respectively,and the area accounted for 51.93%and 34.76%.In 2006,the urban forest recreation suitability increased significantly,mainly concentrated in the high suitable,moderate suitable and marginally suitable this three levels,19,29 and 14 respectively,and the area of 34.84%,45.84%and 19.16%,respectively.In 2012,the high suitable number of urban forest increased to 33,but a slight drop in area of 30.38%.Meanwhile,the moderate suitable number up to 24,area percentage increased to 34.84%.(4)Compared 64 urban forest in four different types(Forest Park,Ecological Forest,Greenbelt Park,Greenbelt Forest),found that from 2000 to 2012,in addition to the ecological forest were maintained at moderate suitable,other three kinds of forest tend to increase gradually.Among them,the average level of forest park suitability increases gradually as from marginally suitable level to moderate suitable level.Greenbelt Park changes from moderate suitable to high suitable.Greenbelt Forest changes from not suitable to high suitable.
