| Colored-leaf plants which can provide color for the city in flower-lacking seasons because of its bright color, full impact of visual effects and easily forming large colorful plants scenery are attracting more and more landscape architects’ attention. With the improvement of urban landscape architecture and greening, the idea of city landscape ecology is deeply rooted among the people,and color-leafed plants is playing a more and more important role in modern landscape architecture of our cities.This paper Introduced the research progress of the domestic and foreign color-leafed plants, the related concept and classification, the coloring mechanism, theory of application of color-leafed plants through consulting the relevant literature and information.The test carried on the investigation of color-leafed plants,based on 123 samples of color-leafed plants green in central areas of Suzhou Industrial Park, which including 9 landscape avenue,15 parks or gardens,56 roads,10 scenic spots of large scenic area (Jinjihu Lake),6 piece of protective green area, and 27 rivers of greening. We knowed what colored leaf-plants in the six categories of public green space, and maked a research and analysis of its gardening application. The main conclusions of this paper were as follows.1. Public green of Suzhou Industrial Park has 70 species colorful plants of 53 genera of 35 families。 All the color-leafed plants were divided into 4 categories according to the definition of botany and greening engineering practice.All of these have 60 color-leafed arbors accounting for 47.22% incluing 3 evergreen arbors and 57 deciduous arbors;42 color-leafed shrubs accounting for 33.07% incluing 18 evergreen shrubs and 24 deciduous shrubs; 18 color-leafed herbs accounting for 14.16%;7 color-leafed vines accounting for 5.55%.2. We can get the the frequency statistics of each color-leafed plants in 123 sampling sites.Acccording to the survey data, we can see which color-leafed plants in the Suzhou Industrial Park applications were much used, which were less,also we do a preliminary classification statistics to all color-leafed plants adaptability. Through the evaluation and analysis, those color-leafed plants, which had good adaptability., high applications frequency and excellent landscape effects,were regarded as the recommended plants to be widely used in Suzhou Industrial Park.3. In the landscape application of colorful-plant, the paper discussed in detail the basic principle of color leafed plants in landscape design, color matching principle and landscape design mode. By selecting some typical examples and the analysis of above theoretical knowledge application, this paper elaborated color-leafed plants application status in public green of Suzhou Industrial Park. According to the problems existing, some appropriate recommendations were given. The paper noted that garden application of color-leafed plants in Suzhou Industrial Park, had still a lot of space.4. Finally, the paper summed up the problems of color-leafed plants application in Suzhou Industrial Park, through above investigation and analysis. According to the problems existing,this paper give appropriate recommendations.Also it gave a list of color-leafed plants which are suitable for the growth in Suzhou Industrial Park according to their overall characters performance. |
