The soil is the base of the growth and development for the tea tree, tea plant nutrients are obtained from the soil,so the soil texture, soil nutrients and soil thickness of effective and other conditions have a very important influence on the growth of tea tree. Therefore, research of soil suitability evaluation of tea tree planting can optimize the overall layout of tea planting to improve the yield and quality of tea production to achieve the goal of resources advantages into economic advantages.Shexian as one of the main tea producing areas in the southern of Anhui tea region which the production of tea plays an important role in promoting economic development. This paper uses GIS technology to analysis tea land in 26.7 hectares. It mainly using the Delphi method to determine the altitude, soil thickness of effective, tea garden surrounding vegetation coverage, compound form of tea and forest, terraced tea plantation,slope,profileconfiguration,pH,groundwater-level,texture,organic,nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium14 evaluation factors constitute suitability evaluation index system. The weight and the membership degree of evaluating factors by analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy mathematics, the cumulative curve classification evaluation results will be classified as highly suitable, suitable, marginally suitable, unsuitable for the four level. The highly suitable area covers an area of 9.1047 hectares, accounting for 34.1% of the total area of tea garden;the suitable area of 13.4568 hectares, accounting for 50.4% of the total area of tea garden;barely suitable area of 3.9516 hectares, accounting for 14.8%of the total area of tea garden;unsuitable area of 0.1869 hectares, accounting for 0.7% of the total area of tea garden. Thus it can be seen that most areas of Shexian are suitable for tea cultivation, the suitable area of 26.5131 hectares, accounting for 99.3% of the total area of tea plantations in Shexian. This paper made an analysis on four levels aimed at distribution of suitable grades and put forward suggestions and improvement measures according to the corresponding constraints on tea planting soil.As a whole the research results reflect the local tea garden suitability. It provides an important basis for tea garden management, planning and balanced fertilization and has an important significance to improve the yield and quality of tea.
