With the growth of population and economic, land supply and demand intensified.Improved Saline Soil can expand arable land and increase food production effectively. In order to solve the problem of soil salinization in the Yellow River Delta, and rational use of agricultural waste, the test in Xiaokaihe irrigated areas, Binzhou City, Shandong Province for a period of one year of straw test, study on the improvement effects of straw on Coastal Saline Soil Physical Properties and its effect on cotton yield in Yellow River Delta. Soil physical properties and cotton growth were determined for four straw return treatments-0t/hm2(CK),1.5 t/hm2(P1),3 t/hm2(P2),4.5 t/hm2(P3). Straw crushed was buried by plowing into the depth of about 20 cm. Fertilizer and other farming management measures consistent with the local farming practices. The main results are as follows:(1) After the straw returning, soil bulk density of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm were decreased,and the bulk density decrease with the increase of the amount of straw and the soil bulk density of 0-20 cm decreased significantly by the impact of plowing,and the significant differences among the treatments, and 20-40 cm soil bulk density decreased slightly.(2) Adding crop residues in soil can help improve the aeration of Coastal Saline. After returning, 0-20 cm soil total porosity increases, and it is a larger proportion of aeration porosity; soil invalid porosity of different straw treatments did not change significantly;compared to non-treated straw, capillary porosity of P1 treatment did not change significantly,However, a significant increase in capillary porosity under P2, P3 treatment. Straw only have had a significant impact on 0-20 cm soil porosity,the soil porosity of layer under 20 cm did not have a significant role.(3) Straw can significantly improve the conductivity properties of clay saline soil. Straw can improve the soil saturated hydraulic conductivity of 0-20 cm and soil saturated hydraulic conductivity with increasing amount of straw increased, indicating straw returning improve the permeability of the soil, leaching of soil salinity when rainfall and irrigation is conducive and inhibit the accumulation of salt in soil to reduce soil salinity.(4) Straw can effectively reduce the salt content of soil tillage layer, weaken the surface evaporation, improve farming soil water content. Throughout the growth period of cotton,0-40 cm soil salinity of different straw treatments always lower than non-treated straw and soil salinity of P2 handled at the lowest level; 0-40 cm soil moisture content of each straw always higher than non-treated straw.(5) Straw plowing fields can also increase cotton production. Compared with the treatment without straw, cotton yield of each straw process are improved, but not with the increase the amount of straw returning, but the highest yield at the P2 process.
