Pyrrhalta maculicollis is newly discovered in Xinjiang Turpan, Bole City and other places recently. This insect is generations overlapping. Both adults and larvae feed on leaves of elm from April to October, which seriously harm the main shelter of the elm trees in the Turpan city. The experiment area is in of the Turpan Gaochang District. Biological and ecological characteristics of Pyrrhalta maculicollis were systematically studied in this area from 2014 to2015 consecutively. Results are as follows:(1) Pyrrhalta maculicollis in xinjiang turpan city 4 generations per year and adults are mainly in the old elm trees, such as the joints of the winter. In late March this insect will wake and feed elm buds for supplying nutrition. In mid-April the1 st instar larvae hatch and feed on leaf blades start of the first generation of harm.Hazard of time for the second generation of larvae late June, the harm of the third generation larvae was in late July, and the damage period of the fourth generation larvae began in the middle of September. Overlapping generations can cause serious damage to the Elms. Light trapping experiments show that Blueray has a strong pest phototaxis.(2) Indoor measured effective accumulated experiments show that egg, larva, pupa and whole generations of pre-spawning developmental threshold temperatures were 13.83, 12.64,12.48, 14.63 and 14.01 ?, effective accumulated temperature were 83.99, 186.32, 121.50,185.42 and 550.54 day ? degrees. Development rate and temperature of the relationship between the linear model and logistic curve model were used to fit the model of the development rate and temperature of the worm. Determined by the Lagrange value theorem instars, the development of the whole generation optimum temperature and suitable temperature zone are concluded.(3) Select 6 kinds of medicament to 3 instars larvae by blade release and spray.Experiment results show that six kinds of agents in 24 h average corrected mortality after a low concentration of each drug treatment group of more than 95%, 2.5% deltamethrin EC in the leaves and spray membrane in treatment under LC50 are minimal, relative toxicity index maximum. After six kinds of film with different concentrations of drug treatment Elm Leaf fed adults 3d, correcting the average mortality rate of different concentrations were above50%, 2.5% deltamethrin EC of LC50 minimum. Six kinds of agents have a good effect on the3 rd instar larvae.
