In order to provide theory basis for cultivation high quality and high yield to beer barley, Ganpi No.4 as tested materials, using split plot experiment was conducted to study the effects of planting density and N application amount on growth and yield of malting barley and quality influence. In test, the main plot planting area density(D) include 3.25 million shares·hm-2(D325), 3.75 million shares·hm-2(D375)and 4.25 million shares·hm-2(D425) in three level, split plot set quantity of nitrogen(N) 0 kg·hm-2(N0)?75 kg·hm-2(N75)?150 kg·hm-2(N150)?225 kg·hm-2(N225) and 300 kg·hm-2(N300) in five level. The main results are as follows:(1) Planting density of barley growth period, the length of peduncle, flag leaf SPAD value, spike length, spike grain number, seed setting rate and yield had no significant effect; Flag foliage of plant height, stem diameter, area and earing rate significantly, with the increase of density of plant height, stem diameter, flag foliage area and earing rate to decline. N application rate on the influence of the indicators have reached the significant level. Among them, plant height, stem diameter, length, flag peduncle foliage area and N application rate was significantly positive correlation, correlation coefficients were 0.96, 0.88, 0.99, 0.95; Growth period and spike length, spike grain number and seed setting rate were increased with the increase of n application rate increases, and ear Numbers per spike, earing rate and the performance after the first rise; Yield(y) with the increase of N application(x) is increasing, but the extent of increase constantly, and can be fit for quadratic curve equation: y = 0.003 x2 + 5.8466 + 2748.7 x2(R = 0.9665). Economic coefficient after the first increase with the increase of N application performance is reduced, and the maximum under N150 processing.(2) With the advancement of fertility, barley in the stem and leaf N content gradually reduce, panicle N content increased gradually, N accumulation amount along with the growth period of promoting a trend of increase before leveling off. Planting density of barley plant nitrogen content and the influence of N accumulation was not significant, and the effect of N application rate reached significant difference. N application rate increased, the amounts of N accumulated and plant N content at the development and performance increases first and then change trend, and under the N225 processing maximum; N transportation efficiency and utilization rate of nitrogen physiological performance after the first increase with the increase of N application rate reduced. N uptake efficiency and N use efficiency and nitrogen harvest index and nitrogen quantity expression is significantly negative correlation, the correlation coefficient is 0.97, 0.95 and 0.95 respectively.(3) In different barley growth period, plant dry matter accumulation showed a trend of increasing, relatively slow growth from seedling stage to jointing stage, jointing stage to mature stage increased rapidly. Under the different density, with the increase of N application rate, dry matter of plants of different organs of transport: rate and dry matter of grain contribution rate are different. Among them, N content and leaf dry matter transport rate was significantly negative correlation, the contribution rate of leaf dry matter transfer to grain, stem dry matter transport rate and the stem, the contribution rate of transport of grain were significantly negative correlation, the correlation coefficient respectively 0.92, 0.94, 0.98 and 0.95.(4) N application rate and grain contents of crude protein, albumin levels are characterized by very significant positive correlation, the correlation coefficient is 0.99; Grain globulin content with the increase of N application shows the trend to increase after the first reduce, and reaches the maximum under the N225 processing; Grain starch content and N content expression is significantly negative correlation, the correlation coefficient is 0.99. Planting densities and N application rate of beta glucan content of barley grain and water content had no significant influence. Considering the indicators, when the Ganpi No.4 planting density of 3.85 million shares·hm-2, N application rate of 124.71 kg·hm-2, which can improve both the yield and the quality at the same time.
