Studies On Key Technology For Good Agricultural Practice Of Echinacea Purpurea L.

Echinacea purpurea L.is a kind of perennial herb from family Astexaceae,which has the activity of immunity,antibacterial,anti-inflammation,anti-oxidation.Since E.purpurea was introduced into China in 1970 s,it has been studied and applied as medicinal in the ninety's.In recent years,its unique medicinal value has aroused the interest of many Chinese medicine experts.In this paper,we reported eco-enviromental condition,biological characteristics and key technologies for its planting.These results provide scientific basis for the standardization management of the production quality of the "safe,effective,stable and controllable" to meet the standard Good Agriculture Practice of Echinacea purpurea L..The specific findings were listed as following:1 Morphological characteristics of E.purpurea were observed and its phenological phase was divided into seven times according to the characteristics of the growth and development.2 Eco-enviromental condition for E.purpurea planting were assayed,such as atmosphere,irrigation water and soil.The results showed that all the indicators were in line with the environmental quality requirements of the national standard.3 The weight of per pant,length of root and height of plant were taken as the primary indicators for quality of E.purpurea seedlings.The criteria for grade ?seedlings were: fresh weight,above 1.39 g;root length,above 7.7 cm;height of plant,above 9.5 cm;the criteria for grade?seedlings were: fresh weight,above 0.79 g;root length,above 6.7 cm;height of plant,above 8.1 cm;the criteria for grade ?seedlings were: fresh weight,above 0.66 g;root length,above 6.2 cm;height of plant,above 6.7 cm.4 It was found that both higher yiedls of E.purpurea production and its cichoric acid were achieved under conditions including optimum transplanting date on May5 th with planting desity of 30 cm × 35 cm and application of farm manure,and optimum harvesting date on August.5 Quality standards for crude medicinal materials of E.purpurea were: moisture under 13%,water extract above 12%,ethanol extracts above 13%,the total ashes under 7%,ashes imdissolvable in acid under 0.9%.
