Insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1) is a major mediator of growth hormone(GH) of the boot process, and an important regulator of body's growth, development, and metabolism. Our previous study showed the polymorphism of poly T in the porcine IGF-1 gene promoter region. Also, it has been proved that the formation of poly T was involved in the chromosome structure and nucleosome, thereby gene transcription. On this basis, the simple sequence repeats(SSR) fluorescence labeling method was used to detect the polymorphism of poly T in US Department of Duroc, Landrace law, the new law the Department of Large White pigs, and eastern Black flower Guanzhuang populations. And the association of the poly T polymorphism with the growth traits of the US Department of Duroc and large White were carried out. The results are as follows:1. We found the poly T polymorphism loci was in the core promoter region of IGF-1 gene and in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium(P> 0.05). Spotted in Guanzhuang population 9T, 10 T allele frequencies were 0.455 and 0.545 respectively; and the 9T, 10 T, 11 T were 0.333, 0.639, 0.028 in the eastern Black population, respectively. In only contains Two alleles of 10 T, 11 T were found in the United States Duroc population, the new law Large White, and Landrace law. Wherein 10 T allele frequencies were 0.672, 0.189, 0.923, 11 T allele frequencies were 0.328, 0.811, 0.077.2. Large White, Duroc pigs, genotype differences between different traits average daily gain was significantly(P<0.05), The Large White and Duroc population with 10/10 T genotype had greater average daily gain and the age of 115 kg body weight than the individuals with 10/11 T, 11/11 T ones.3. The individuals with 10/10 T genotype had 115 kg of body weight earlier 5.37 days than the individual with 11/11 T in Duroc. In Large White, 10/10 T individuals had 115kg of body weight earlier 10.02 days than 10/11 T individuals.
