As one of the most distributed forest diseases in the world, anthracnose is capable of infecting board-leaf trees, i.e. damaging leaves, stems, branches or fruit. Symptoms of affected by anthracnose vary from different hosts or same host of different body parts. This thesis shows the study of 7 different precious tree samples affected by anthracnose, including Dalbergia odorifera, Cinamomum camphora, Phoebe bournei, Michelia macclurei, Agathis australis, Erythrophloeum fordii and Mesua ferrea. Analysing the hosts, affected parts, morphological characteristics of strains and form of adhering spores, combined their morphology and development of molecular system, building system development tree of 5 types of gene using NJ method, after which connect heads to tails of them, using multi-gene joint development method to determine 7 specific species of anthracnose, and analyze kinships of effected trees to determine the source of anthracnose. The analysis basically shows Dalbergia odorifera anthracnose, Cinamomum camphora anthracnose, Phoebe bournei anthracnose, Michelia macclurei anthracnose, Agathis australis anthracnose and Erythrophloeum fordii anthracnose belong to types of Colletotrichum siamense, Mesua ferrea anthracnose belongs to type of Colletotrichum fructicola. Based on the analysis of the origins of 7 types of anthracnose, C. siamense including Dalbergia odorifera anthracnose, Cinamomum camphora anthracnose, Phoebe bournei anthracnose, Michelia macclurei anthracnose, Agathis australis anthracnose and Erythrophloeum fordii anthracnose are the local pathogens, which can infect most precious broad leaf trees, and are host-adaptive. C. fructicola anthracnose is probably from outside sources, affect small saplings, or other possible ways. This study is the first to show molecular determination of anthracnose of the same area on different hosts, and analysis of the possible origins of 7 precious types of anthracnose. It could serve as a scientific basis for precious trees chemical control and biological control of forest anthracnose problems.
