Qinling region is an important part of China. It's closely related between people and environment problems. With the development of economy, the environment problems have becoming increasing serious. It's very urgent to solve the problem of soil erosion. Therefore, it's very important to study the soil in this area.It was measured to the soil organic carbon density of Pinus armandii and Picea asperata forest in different areas of Qinling forest areas by using outdoor sampling and indoor analysis methods, including Ningdong, Ningxi, Longcaoping and Taibai. There are some differences between them. The conclusions were as follows:(1)In general, the soil organic carbon density of Pinus armandii forest was 132.2 t/hm2 and Picea asperata forest was 157.8 t/hm2.So, the soil organic carbon density of Pinus armandii forest is smaller than that of the Picea asperata forest.(2)The soil organic carbon density of Pinus armandii and Picea asperata forest is increasing with the elevation.(3)With the deepening of soil layer, soil organic carbon density gradually decreased.(4)Shady slope has advantage over sunny slope in the organic carbon density of soil layer A, layer B, layer C and whole. The soil organic carbon density of Picea asperata forest was higher than that of Pinus armandii in both shady slope and sunny slope.(5)There were probably the same about the effects of different slope positions on soil organic carbon density in Pinus armandii and Picea asperata forest. The soil organic carbon density in the downhill slope has advantage over the middle slope position and the up slope position. The organic carbon density of Picea asperata forest was higher than that of Pinus armandii in the same slope position. In view of the above results, we should improve the awareness of protecting environment, use reasonably the forest land, and promote the local economy development.
