Objective:In order to study the best therapy for treatment of long bone fracture of limbs of dogs, this study statistics a total of 187 cases of canine clinical cases of fractures of long bones of extremities, and on the basis of an in-depth analysis in order to provide a reference for the treatment of clinical cases.Methods:Collecting Pet Hospital I work on January 1,2012 all clinical cases of fracture of extremities, according to etiology, pathogenesis section, treatment and rehabilitation of statistics and analysis of the effects and causes of failure in individual cases, according to the clinical efficacy and clinical experience, work out the best treatment options.Results:1. collect a total of 187 cases. Treatment methods used are plates, intramedullary nails, orthopaedic wire, screws, which only also used. Forefoot fractures accounted for 25.7%, hind leg fracture,65.78% multiple 8.56%; forelimbs 8.59% humerus, ulna 17.11%, hind femur 47.06%,18.72% of tibia and fibula, in all cases of fracture in the hind limbs are a common occurrence.2. In all cases of reception, and most have a good prognosis, there are a few cases of failure. Failure reason:plate with a wrong place; screws too much lead to stress concentrations; plate selection too short; screws selected too short; early weight-bearing exercise or function; plate type selection error plate and screws are not matching.3.
