Tobacco is one of the important economic crop in China. However, the continuous cropping of tobacco and the pollution of tobacco field have led to the obstruction of tobacco production quality. The use of organic fertilizer has become an effective measure to improve the soil the quality of tobacco. The vermicompost has its own unique effect on improving soil and improving the quality of agricultural products, but there are few reports on the application of tobacco cultivation. In this study, vermicompost was producted by using earthworms to deal with the wastes such as cow dung and sludge, and the vermicompost was applied to the soil of tobacco cultivation with different proportions. The study was aimed at screening the optimum proportion of vermicompost on tobacco planting and exploring the intrinsic mechanism of improving soil fertility. The main conclusions are as follows:1: The mixture of cow dung, sludge and maize straw with different proportions were treated by earthworms, which had different effects on the physical and chemical properties and microbial activities of vermicompost. To some extent, the treatment increased the EC,total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium, and the number of-bacteria,actinomycetes,fungi but decreased the p H and organic matter content.Among them,C3 treatment(cow dung: maize straw 7: 3)and W3 treatment(sludge: maize straw 7: 3)are better.2: The V1 and V2 vermicompost prepared by C3 treatment and W3 treatment were used to pot experiment with different ratios, they have effect on the physical and chemical properties and enzyme activities of tobacco soil to some extent. The research has shown that application of different types and different proportion of vermicompost can significantly improve soil enzyme activity. The T3 treatment(vermicompost: soil 1:1)could significantly improve the activities of sucrase and phosphatase;T4 treatment(vermicompost: soil 1:0)could significantly improve the activity of catalase and urease. The application of vermicompost can increase soil available nitrogen, available phosphorus, available potassium, organic matter content but reduced soil bulk density.Among them,T3 treatment was better. The correlation analysis showed that there was significant positive correlation between soil enzyme activity and soil available nutrients.3: To a certain extent,Vermicompost with different feedstocks had effects on the agronomic characters of tobacco. Two kinds of vermicomposts could improve the plant height, stem circumference, effective leaf number, leaf length and leaf width of tobacco and also increased the fresh weight and dry weight of tobacco.4: The vermicompost with different feedstocks could significantly improve the nutrient of tobacco leaves. There was significant positive correlation between the soil available nutrients and the nutrient content of tobacco leaf. The increase of soil nutrient promoted the increase of leaf nutrient.5: Compare the the effect of vermicompost on the soil properties and growth between V1 and V2,the results showed that, the best treatment of V1 were 83.13%?11.73%?2.43%?1.47 times higher than the best treatment of V2 on the soil urease, sucrase, catalase and phosphatase. For agronomic traits of tobacco,V1 is better than V2.Comprehensive analysis,V1(with cow dung as feedstock)is better than the V2(with sludge as feedstock).
