It is an important part of the research of virtual plant modeling to realize the 3D-visualization of soybean plants in farmland by using the growth model parameters.In order to realize the 3D-visualization simulation of farmland soybean in seedling stage,this study selected the Yellow No.13 soybean plant as the research object at Institute of Soil and Water Conservation,Northwest A&F University.The work based on the study of three dimensional reconstruction of soybean plant organs,so as to realize the 3D visualization roaming interaction simulation of soybean plant and groups of soybean in the farmland environment.The main research content of this paper is as follows:(1)Morphogenesis model of organ of soybean plant in seeding stage.Obtaining the original image information of the soybean's leaf through the SONY DSC-W800 digital camera.The study made use of the Sobel operator to detect the edge of the image,and then applied the median filter to remove some noise.This work combined with the three parameter spline curve to fit the blade edge,based on the Delaunay triangulation to insert point by point,so as to realize the grid of polygons.The modified Gabor wavelet algorithm is used to extract texture energy characteristics.The research used SPM algorithm to describe the texture gradient between cues and scene depth.The job also adopted topological structure and quantitative formula to simulate soybean's stem,and combined the principle of hierarchical model to reconstruct branching model.Finally,through the lateral branchs were reconstructed by the central axis and the quadratic equation.(2)Visualization of individual soybean was realized based on parameterized L-system and finite state machine model.The research took use of 3D reconstruction model of each organ of soybean plants,and then combined with soybean plants' reconstruction model of spatial structure characteristics and parametric L-system to simulate the topological structure of soybean plant in seedling stage.At last,completed the parallel growth and rendering technology.Meanwhile,the job combined growth characteristics of soybean and the multi-level automatic mechanism to build soybean's finite growth state.In the end,the 3D-visualization of soybean plant was realized.(3)Visualization of group soybean plants.The task based on the L-system and finite state machine to develop a visualize model of soybean plant which combined the sampling interval and geometric shape data of soybean plants.This study applied instantiation rendering technique to soybean plants.In order to optimize the structure of data storage and rendering,the work to adopt OpenGL display list to enclosure various organs of soybean,then combined the effects of light and topography factors on the farmland.At the same time,the job utilizated the sky box and the atomization effect to render the sky scene and improved system's availability.(4)Soybean plant roaming system.Firstly,divided the virtual field image into N parts,and then combined the line cross route for roaming interaction.The work to set control points and roaming path in advance,and used Hermite curves to fit the control points.In order to save the resources of virtual roaming system,the curve was discreted into different interpolations.At the same time,kept the data into the array and took advantage of conversion coefficient to make the roam more smooth and natural,At last,the roaming effect of soybean field is realized by the combination of roaming path.
