Research On Multiple Cropping Patterns Of Spring Wheat In Yellow River Irigation Area,Ningxia

Ningxia is one of the best spring wheat area in the Northwest China,with good ecological conditions and high level of cultivation.The spring wheat in Ningxia has high gluten and crude protein.Researching on multiple cropping patterns of spring wheat in Ningxia Yellow River irrigation area will provide some theory and technology to realize cropping system reformation and cropping structure,and also increase peasant's incomes.Otherwise,to generalize multiple cropping will use regional resources more efficiently.The yield characteristics of different spring wheat and millet were observed in order to screen out the best one,the economic benefits of different multiple cropping patterns(grain-forage,grain-vegetable,grain-oil crops and grain-grain)were evaluated also.The results showed :1.In the spring wheat variety comparative test,Ningchun 50 was the best one with exellent comprehensive characters,and the yield was keeping with Ningchun 4 which is the main cultivar in the experiment area.It's fast speed of grouting in the early stage is beneficial to avoid the dry-hot wind's in the later stage of wheat grouting,it's high and stable yields provided basis and security of multiple cropping benefits.2.Multiple cropping millet after spring wheat could be generalized because different millet cultivars could complete life cycle in Ningxia Yellow River irrigation area.Yeild of Ningmi 10 and Gumi 21 were the highest among the test cultivars,reached 248.1kg and 240.8kg per mu.3.By introducing after 12 squash varieties wheat cropping experiment and demonstration,combined with the varieties in the growth period,disease resistance,drought resistance and market performance,ZhenYu 35 high yield,disease resistance and drought-resistant ability strong,suitable for large area promotion,ZhenYu 17 of the production and the field performance,ZhenYu 35 a day late blooming,performance is better also,can be used as auxiliary promotion varieties.4.After evaluation of the economic benefits of different multiple cropping patterns and comparison with wheat monocultured and wheat interplanting of corn patterns,grain-vegetable pattern and grain-grain pattern were the best multiple cropping patterns with highest economic benefits,and these two patterns were suggested to be generalized.Otherwise,grain-forage patterns like Multiple cropping alfalfa,oat or Dongmu 70 rye could relieve the land-contradiction between grains and forages.This pattern not only insured food safety,but also provided forages to livestocks,enhanced soil nutrients.It has realistic significance for development of agriculture and industry.
