Internet of Things technology is a kind of information technologies developed in recent years. It is developed along with electronic sensors, intelligence, network transmission and control technology. And it is the third revolution of information technology development. Agricultural Internet of Things is the Internet of Things technology applied to agricultural production, farming, irrigation and other fields. The sensors in the Internet of Things system can monitor and record the important data in agricultural production in real time. Multiple control can be monitored by the technicians in the office, collecting the data in real time, accurately recording the growth parameters of the crops. The data collected can be used to control the agricultural production accurately and provide a basis for analyzing the regular pattern of agricultural production. The precision, automation, intelligence and security of Agricultural Internet of Things can promote agricultural production and increase income, reduce the impact of natural disasters on crops, improve the quality of agricultural products, improve land utilization, reduce agricultural production costs, improve farmers' income, and promote agricultural modernization.This paper takes He Yang County as the research object, and conducts an in-depth investigation to the application and popularization of Internet of Things technology in He Yang County, such as Red Globe Grape Growing, Dong Lei Yellowing Irrigation Project and He Chuan Aquaculture. The findings are as follows: at present, the agricultural Internet of Things technology in He Yang County have different degrees of application and promotion. RedGloble grape planting industry has demonstration use; various pumping stations of pumping irrigation project invested by the National Ministry of Water Resources has universally used Internet of Things technology; aquaculture promotion is poor, almost no user use Internet of Things. At present, there still is a great difficulty to promote Internet of Things technology to be widely applied to the various fields of agricultural production.Through the analysis of the present situation of agricultural Internet of Things technology in the agricultural production of He Yang County, the problems of the extension of this new technology are as follows: small-scale planting and breeding are not big enough to promote the technology of Internet of Things. The cultural quality of the rural labor force are low, and their ability of the acceptance about the high-tech are limited, thus leading to the difficulty of promoting the agricultural Internet of Things technology. Internet of Things technology application market is still immature and in the initial stage, with the high cost of using. Government does not pay much attention to Internet of Things technology, and Government has played a poor leading role in the the extension of this new technology. In the practical application of agricultural production, the local government think the Internet of Things technology is still in the experimental level, thus leading to the low efficiency of agricultural technology extension.In order to promote the development of agricultural technology in He Yang, the government should strengthen its leading role, increase capital investment, develop policies, systems and regulations in line with the actual situation, establish modern agricultural extension funds and regulatory mechanisms for internet technology. Government should strengthen the training of the personnel of Internet of Things technology, create interdisciplinary talent of Internet of Things technology, promote the establishment of agricultural cooperatives, expand the scale of agricultural production in the countryside, and develop various forms of appropriate scale of agricultural operation. What's more, we need promote the communication between the farmers and the technicians, providing more information for farmers. Government should improve cultural quality and the ability of receiving the new technology of farmers. There are lots of things for research institutions to work on. They should strengthen the research of the applicability of the application of Internet of Things technology in agriculture. The research institutions should concentrate on the research and the development of the hardware products, which are easy to transport, install and operate. Meanwhile, the costs of the products should be reduced and the later maintenance and upgrading of the products should be followed. In order to improve the operability of Internet of Things technology in the practical agricultural production, some other things like the development of easy-to-use data analysis software and mobile phone APP software are also necessary.
