Smart agriculture is a refined and intelligent way of agricultural production using various technologies and equipments,such as the Internet,cloud computing,and the Internet of Things(IoT).For a variety of reasons,such as insect attacks,plant diseases,lack of expertise in crop cultivation,and other barriers,traditional agriculture cannot make the best use of land.In addition,the world’s population is increasing while agricultural land is decreasing.To ensure the food supply of the global population and promote the development of agriculture,the implementation of smart agriculture has become more and more important.This paper focuses on some needs of smart agriculture in a specific environment.Based on the IoT technology,a system is designed and implemented to realize smart agricultural production,control,and management.The research and analysis of the current situation and needs of smart agriculture found that the existing smart agricultural system has many defects,such as excessive circuit power consumption,low level of automation control,low precision data acquisition and unstable data transmission.Such problems have caused inconvenience to the agricultural production management process.In view of the above defects,this paper proposes corresponding improvement measures and completes the corresponding software and hardware system design.The hardware module mainly includes a main control chip circuit,a radio frequency circuit,a sensor module and a power management circuit,which reduces power consumption,improves data collection accuracy and transmission stability.And the system in this paper provides hardware support for system scalability.The software system includes the data collection end,the server end and the monitoring end,which further improves the automation level of the system,minimizes the complexity of the operation,provides a convenient and practical operation terminal for the user,and develops the Android mobile phone platform by using the Java language.The Internet of Things terminal APP software enables users to view the cultivation and growth of vegetables in real time online through mobile phones,and enjoy the cold chain distribution of fresh vegetables to the home.Finally,the test results of various system modules show that the smart agriculture system of this paper has achieved the following functions:(1)Hardware part: The sensors operate normally,the data collected is accurate,and the data transmission is correct;(2)Software part: The functions of registration and login,data display,remote control and automatic control parameter setting of the mobile application are working normally.From the testing results of our designed system,the functions,hardware,and software are all completed in according with the primary requirements of the systems.Our system can give a reference for the development of smart agriculture based on IoT.
