Taking Changsha region as an example, this paper emphasized the effect of planting date on yield trait of super rice, early rice Yueyouxingan 203 and late rice Yueyou 6135. We got the best combination of temperature and light, providing theory basis for improving productivity of rice in Changsha region. Our result showed planting date influenced the yield trait of rice significantly. In detail, the thousand seed weight and maturing rate of rice decreases with planting date, which is contrary to empty grain rate. We inferred planting date influence the productivity of rice mainly through temperature and light. The mathematical relationship revealed positive correlation between temperature light and thousand seed weight. The thousand seed weight of two tested samples (Yueyouxingan 203, Yueyou 6135) reached maximum when the accumulated temperature up to 700?·d and 894.6?·d respectively. However, the filling rate of rice showed a significant inverse correlation with temperature light. The filling rate of two tested rice close to bogged down, when the temperature light reached to 900?. d and 968.8 ?·d respectively. Similarity, sunshine duration had analogous relationship with thousand seed weight and filling rate of rice. Results showed that when sunshine duration was 192.9h,345.5h·d, respectively, the highest thousand seed weight was 19.34g. Meanwhile, the filling rate of two tested rice close to bogged down, when the sunshine duration was 265.6h,271.4h respectively. In conclusion, the best planting date for super rice, Yueyouxingan 203, Yueyou 6135 was late of May, mid-June respectively in area of Changsha.
