At present,the shortage of water resources is the main problem to be faced by our country's rice production. How to improve the utilization rate of water resources has become the focus of scientific research in recent years.This study compared the influence of the physiological characteristics and water use of rice in four water treatments(conventional irrigation, mild water stress, moderate water stress, severe water stress)and two cultivation methods(conventional flat planting, ridge cultivation).The research results show that:The yield of riceunder mild water stress at tillering stage as highest, compared with conventional irrigation they respectively increased by 2.1% and 21%.Water stress in jointing-booting stage and blooming-grain filling stage, the rice yield in the flat cultivated under conventional irrigation was the highest; the yield in the ridge cultivation under mild water stress higher than W1,each increased by 25.4% and 2%.Ridge cultivation can reduce the effects of water stress on rice yield, and flat for planting compared to the yield of each respective period average increase of 16.5%,13.5% and 20.5%.Three periods of water use efficiency was highest in the mild water stress.The higher water stress, the less water consumption in growth period.but the total water consumption of the whole growth period on water stress in tillering stage are least. the total water consumption and water use under ridge cultivation less than flat planting.Water stress at tillering and jointing booting stage make the peak tillering stage and heading period extension,extension of time consistent with the degree of stress,no influence on the whole growth period.blooming-grain filling stage of water stress prolonged the mature stage of rice, the whole growth period increase.mild and moderate water stress at tillering stage can promote rice growth, severe water stress inhibited the growth of rice.jointing booting and blooming grain filling stage had no effect on rice growth at mild water,moderate and severe water stress inhibited growth of rice.three period of water stress accelerated the enzymatic activity of SOD, POD and CAT enzymes of rice roots and leaves,its growth was decreased after the first increase.
