Since ancient times,people in China have regarded poultries and their eggs as high quality daily food and nutrition.Moreover,China has achieved the global first place for years in terms of the amount of poultry.Meanwhile,farmers gradually transform the small-scale and free-range farming mode into the intensive and large-scale one.Now the farmers,however,are only concerned about their own interests while ignoring excreta disposal.Such problems result in the increase of environmental pollution,which impedes sustainable development;relatively worse farming environment also restricts farmers'profits.Breeding in large-scale worsens environmental problems in China.It therefore requires scientists to improve farming methods,to increase productivity,and to reduce environmental pollution.Given the current breeding patterns in China as well as the principle of the combination between farm machinery and agronomy,this paper puts forward a kind of turner suitable to the requirements of Chinese modernization and the intensive farming pattern.We can alsouse them to improve the living conditoin of livestock and poultry in order top romote their growth.This paper concentrates on the following aspects.1.This paper analyses different existing types of turners in the market and choose the appropriate one based on the request of actual experimental site,then install and debug.During debugging,in order to reduce production cost,the author designs and manufactures a transport vehicle with lateral movement,which could move turners into other fermentation beds.Thus it facilitates the use of multi fermentation beds.Meanwhile,the author finds that,because of the fixed length of rotating blade,the turner could not turn over deep fermentation bed.Therefore it is inefficient and requires to be improved.2.Based on the advantages and disadvantages observed during debugging and the requirements of farms,the author re-designs and manufactures a turner with a subsoiler,which can adjust effective depth.The effective depth can be up to 40cm,which promotes the efficiency of fermentation bed greatly.3.This paper tests the performance of chosen turner,analyzes its actual effective depth and then searches for the relations between the growth of ducks and bacterial content in the air of the surface of fermentation bed with or without turners.The results show that the growth of the experimental ducks with the use of turners is significantly higher than those without it.4.We compare the temperature variation in different depths of fermentation bed before and after the use of turners with and without subsoiler.The experiment suggests that,after the use of turners with subsoiler,the temperatures of various layers in fermentation bed in the first case are higher than those in the second,with the temperature at bottom layer(35 cm)38 ? and 34 ?,middle layer(20 cm)42 ? and 40 ?.Therefore,using turners with subsoiler can provide sufficient air for the aerobic bacteria at the bottom,and facilitate the decomposition of animal waste.
