The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary inulin supplementation on growth performance, digestion and metabolism, and non-specific immune function in broilers.Single factor complete randomized trial design.300 old arbor acres(AA')broilers were randomly divided into 5 groups for 1 day, with 6 replicates of 10 birds per replicate. The experimental group ? was the control group:fed with the basal diet, the test group ?,?,?and ? were added 0.05%,0.15%,0.25%,0.5%,and inulin in the basal diet. The feeding experiment lasted for 6 weeks, and the feeding and management conditions were the same in each group. At the end of the feeding experiment,1 chicken were taken for each time, and the metabolic test was carried out by the method of total fecal collection.Serum samples collected before slaughter, slaughter, immune organ separation, canceled tract determination of digestive enzyme activity, the duodenum for tissue preparation, determination of tissue morphology.Experimental results show:(1)Dietary inulin on growth performance of broilers had no significant effect(P>0.05),inulin content was 0.05%,broilers at the age 4 to 6 weeks and 1 to 6 weeks of age the average daily feed intake was highest, respectively, compared with the control group increased by 3.53%and 2.40%,the average daily dosage of 0.5%the lowest intake. When the inulin content was 0.5%,the weight ratio of each stage was the lowest.(2)Dietary inulin significantly influenced dry matter metabolic rate and Apparent Metabolizable Energy(P<0.01),significantly affect the apparent metabolic ratio of energy(P<0.05),had no significant effect on crude protein, crude fat and nutrient metabolic rate(P>0.05).The inulin content was 0.5%of dry matter metabolic rate increased by 22.21%compared with the control group(P<0.01),inulin addition 0.25%energy apparent metabolic rate and Apparent Metabolizable Energy were higher than the control group 19.63%(P<0.05)and 15.71%(P<0.01);dietary inulin significantly improves meat broiler jejunum duodenum amylase, trypsin activity(P<0.05),improve the jejunum amylase activity(P>0.05),inulin added 0.5%jejunal trypsin, duodenal amylase activity was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);0.15%and 0.25%dietary inulin significantly decreased the gastric pH value broilers(P<0.01);dietary inulin significantly improved broiler duodenum villus height(P<0.05);decreased the crypt depth(P>0.05),When the inulin content was 0.15%,the highest villus(1317.10 ?m).(3)The addition of inulin to diet significantly increased the thymus, spleen and bursa index of broilers, but there was no significant difference between the levels(P>0.05).0.5%inulin addition level group broiler thymus and spleen and bursa index were higher than those of the control group was 27.57%,16.28%,36.29%(P>0.05);dietary inulin significantly increased the concentration of Broiler Serum Albumin. When the adding amount of inulin was 0.5%,the content of serum albumin(14.35 g/L)was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01);the addition of inulin in feed significantly improved Broiler Serum Lysozyme Activity(P<0.01),significantly increased the activity of antimicrobial peptides(P<0.05),alkaline phosphatase, the complement activity had no significant effect(P>0.05),0.15%inulin supplementation group serum lysozyme activity was the highest(335.89 U/mL),compared with the control group increased 78.55%(P<0.01),0.25%inulin supplementation group of antimicrobial peptides(347.16 U/mL),the highest activity compared with the control group increased 84.30%(P<0.05).The above indicators can be concluded that dietary inulin significantly improves the digestive enzyme activity and duodenal villus height and improve broiler diets on nutrient metabolic rate and apparent metabolic energy, improve the non-specific immune function, when the inulin content was 0.25%?0.5%better.
