In this study, five kinds of natural forests were selected, such as Pinus tabulaeformis,Pinus sylvestris,Mongolian oak, pentagonal maple and Platycladus orientalis.Through the field survey sampling and back to the room for determination and analysis, the soil water-soluble calcium content, the plant-leaf tissue total calcium content and the ?13C values of the plant could be got.Through intraspecific comparison and interspecific comparison, and differences and correlation analysis of calcium and calcium coupling and ?13C in soil calcium and leaf tissue.Got the following conclusions:(1)There were significant differences in soil water-soluble calcium content of Pinus tabulaeformis between Chengde and Beizhen(P<0.01).There was a significant difference in total calcium content in plant leaf tissue(P<0.01).There was a significant difference in calcium absorption coefficient(P<0.01).There was a significant difference in the value indicating the water use efficiency of the plants(P<0.05).There was a significant positive correlation between soil water-soluble calcium content and total calcium content in plant leaf tissue(P<0.01).There was no significant correlation between soil water-soluble calcium content and water use efficiency of plants(P>0.05).There was a significant positive correlation between the total calcium content of the plant leaf tissue and the water use efficiency of the plant(P<0.05).There was no significant correlation between the calcium uptake coefficient and the water use efficiency of the plants(P>0.05).(2)There was no significant correlation between soil water-soluble calcium content and total calcium content in plant leaf tissue(P>0.05)in Pinus sylvestris natural forest. There was no significant correlation between soil water-soluble calcium content and the water use efficiency of plants(P>0.05).There was a significant positive correlation between total calcium content in plant leaf tissue and water use
