Study On Aesthetic Value Of Phoebe Zhennan And Its Application In Fashion Design

In this study,the gross grain,optical microstructure and ultra-microscopical structure of Phoebe zhennan were analyzed systematically with the viewpoint of aesthetics application.Aesthetical analysis of the macro-,micro-and ultramicro-structure of Phoebe zhennan was carried out based on the formal beauty law,and the aesthetic elements were extracted from those pictures.Then,these aesthetic elements were used in aesthetic pattern and fashion design.Finally,5 new styles of wood aesthetic cloth were produced by means of digital printing,and 5 sets of female fashion were manufactured with wood structural features of Phoebe zhennan as decoration elements.Through this series of experimental studies,the main results are as follows.(1)Through systematic study on the gross grain,micro-and ultramicro-structure of Phoebe zhennan,the aesthetic analysis of the wood structure image was made based on the principle of form beauty.Results showed that many structural features with high aesthetic value and conforming to the aesthetic principles existed in the gross grain,micro and ultramicro-structures of Phoebe zhennan.They can be extracted as aesthetic elements and have good aesthetic development and utilization value.(2)Taking the macro-,micro-and ultramicro-structural features of Phoebe zhennan as design material,wood aesthetic pattern creation were carried out.The designed patterns were used as cloth decoration patterns to make the fashion design,and 8 design cases of wood aesthetic pattern applied in fashion were obtained.According to the design effects of these cases,they all owned good value for physical products development.(3)From the 8 design cases,5 were chosen for cloth printing test by mean of heat transfer printing and activated ink digital jet printing technology,and 5 styles of fashion cloth with macro-,micro-and ultramicro-structural features of Phoebe zhennan as decoration elements were produced.Results showed that all the thermal transfer printing and activated ink digital jet printing technology could be used for wood aesthetic pattern printing,but the heat transfer printing technology only suitable for chemical fiber fabrics,with temperature and time being the main influencing factors of this printing process.While the activated ink digital jet printing technology were suitable for cotton,linen,silk and other kinds of fabrics with high protein content,some subsequent processes were needed,such as color setting,washing and drying.(4)Based on the actual effcts of the 5 sets of wood aesthetic fashion and their manufaacturing process,it can be concluded that new styles of fashion with wood aesthetic elements of Phoebe zhennan can be manufactured through suitable printing technology and common tailoring procedure.All the printing technology and the fabric materials adopted in this study are suitable to the relative design cases.The decoration pattrens on the 5 sets of fashion are clear,able to show aesthetic features of Phoebe zhennan.The actual products,as a whole,achieved the expected effects,able to reflect the aesthetic value of Phoebe zhennan and realize the goal to use wood aesthetic value of Phoebe zhennan in the feild of clothing manufacture.The results of this study have further expanded the research contents of wood aesthetics and enriched the basic material of wood aesthetics knowledge base.In this study,a way of wood aesthetics application in the field of fashion design has been explored with important practical significance in popularization and application of wood aesthetics.Furthermore,this study has opened up a new way to use the precious wood of Phoebe zhennan in aesthetic manner.
