The FT(FLOWEREING LOCUS T)gene family is highly conserved,and phospholipid ethanolamine binding protein it encoded has a great influence on the floral transition and bulb development of higher plants.In the present study,six Pv FT genes were cloned from Phyllostachys violascens.Their biological functions were studied by transforming Pv FT2-3,Pv FT2-7 and Pv FT5 into Arabidopsis thaliana.Analysis.The results are as follows:1.The vector of Ca MV 35S∷Pv FT2、Ca MV 35S∷Pv FT3、Ca MV 35S∷Pv FT4、Ca MV 35S∷Pv FT5、Ca MV 35S∷Pv FT6 have been construsted.And they were transformed into wild-type Arabidopsis thaliana and mutant ft-1 respectively to obtain the transgenic Strain.2.Phenotypic observation showed that the T3 generation of the Arabidopsis and the ft-1 mutant,which over-expressed Pv FT1,started bolting at 16 days,when the leaves of Arabidopsis had only 4 leaves.And wild-type Arabidopsis has not bolted at this time.At 21 days,when the transgenic Arabidopsis plants were 3.5cm in height,the buds were formed,and the transgenic plants blossomed.At this time,wild-type Arabidopsis had not flowered and bolted.When the number of rosette leaves of Arabidopsis reached 12,the plants began to blossom,indicating that Pv FT1 could induce plant flowering eariler.3.The Arabidopsis phenotype of transcripts of Pv FT2 gene showed that Pv FT2-3 and Pv FT2-7 overexpressing transgenic T2 generation Arabidopsis thaliana could flower earlier about 5 days compared with the wild type.Mutant complementation results showed that two transcripts promoted the early flowering of the mutant,but only partially complementary mutant phenotype,35 S :: Pv FT2-7 and 35 S :: Pv FT2-3 were 32 days,The time of wild-type flowering was 30 days and mutant ft-1 45 days.4.The Arabidopsis phenotype of transcripts of Pv FT5 gene showed that plants overexpressing Pv FT5 could be blossomed for 7 days compared with the wild-type.Mutant complementation showed that the transcript could promote early flowering of the mutant,but only partially complementary mutant phenotype.The time of 35 S :: Pv FT5 flower was 30 days,wild type flowering time was 30 days,mutant flowering time was 45 days after sowing.5.Above all,Pv FT1,Pv FT2-3,Pv FT2-7,Pv FT5 were the inducible genes,which could promote the early bolting and flowering of Arabidopsis thaliana,which indicating that FT genes are key regulators of plant flowering.Compared with the wild type Arabidopsis,the plants were relatively thin and short,the chlorophyll content was relatively low,and the flowering rate and seed setting rate were relatively lower.
