In recent years,the production of cassava has become as the competitive and pillar industry in some cities and counties of Guangxi Province.However,the study on the water consumption regulation and irrigation system of cassava is obviously lagging behind.Lacking of a scientific and reasonable irrigation system leads to no basis in irrigation operation and no standard for irrigating time as well as extensive management of fields,resulting in waste of water resources.Therefore,this paper establishes a test scheme according to the study on water consumption regulation and irrigation system of cassava.Using the inner leaching-pond of the test station to observe,this test sets the threshold of soil moisture in seedling stage,tuber formation stage,tuber expansion stage and tuber maturity stage of cassava,with the regular determination of cassava’s water consumption,evaporation and evapotranspiration,to predict the water requirement of cassava in different growth stages and put forward on the key point of crop coefficient and daily Water consumption intensity.And set the threshold of irrigation amount to study the irrigation system of cassava under drip-irrigation through field experiments.Based on water balance method,this paper reveals the water consumption of cassava through leaching-pond test,proposes the suitable low irrigation limit regulation as"70-75-75-70”which means the low irrigation limit of cassava in seedling stage,tuber formation stage,tuber expansion stage and tuber maturity stage is 70%,75%,75%and 70%of field capacity respectively.And it also sets the Kc value of cassava,and establishes the water production function of cassava using the Jensen model based on the water consumption regulation.Combined with previous research results,this paper proposes the irrigation systems in high flow years normal years and low flow years of cassava in Guangxi Province respectively,and quantifies the irrigation amount and frequency in seedling stage,tuber formation stage,tuber expansion stage and tuber maturity stage of cassava.The water consumption regulation and irrigation system in this paper can be used as reference for efficient water-saving irrigation.It is believed that reasonable irrigation can lead to yield increase and quality improvement of cassava as well as water-saving.
